GAINESVILLE, FLA. -- Wayne Roger Bomstad II, 31, of Gainesville, Fla., who stayed often with family and friends in the Lake Lillian area during his youth, died Friday in Gainesville.
The service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday at United Lutheran Church, Lake Lillian. Burial will be in the Lake Lillian Community Cemetery.
He was born Dec. 4, 1975 in Winter Park, Fla., to Wayne R. Bomstad Sr., formerly of Lake Lillian, and Henrietta (Brakel) Shuminsky of Niceville, Fla.
He earned bachelors and master's degrees in electrical engineering at the University of Florida. He was working on his doctorate in physics at the University of Florida at the time of his death.

He married Aleasha Farnsworth on July 7, 2000. They lived in Gainesville.
He is survived by his wife; his parents; step-mother Jill Bomstad; step-father Thomas Shuminsky; a sister, Shannon Riojas.
