WILLMAR -- The no-wake zone restrictions have been lifted on lakes in Kandiyohi County -- effective immediately.
Sheriff Eric Holien said Friday afternoon that the slow, no-wake zones have been lifted on all lakes in the county.
He said water patrol officers will remove the no wake restriction signs Saturday.
The restrictions were put in place the end of May because of high water levels on lakes in an effort to reduce erosion from boats traveling close to shorelines
The restrictions affected the Little Crow Ski Team, which typically performs Friday nights on the Middle Fork of the Crow River, which was affected by the restrictions. The team's first two shows of the season were cancelled.
The team moved the show to Robbin's Island for tonight's show, which begins at 7:30 p.m. People are encouraged to bring lawnchairs to the show.
