Shelly Lynn Balder and Andrew Christopher Swenson were united in marriage Aug. 24 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Anoka.
The bride is the daughter of Dan and Joan Balder of Dayton. The groom is the son ofTerrance and Delphia Swenson of Svea.
Matron of honor was Sunny Blakesley, friend of the bride. Bride's attendants were Lynn Lease, Joanie Britton and Melissa Loween, friends of the bride. Junior attendant was Monica Sawyer, cousin of the bride. Flow-er girl was Lilly Meister, cousin of the groom.
Best man was Peter Swenson, brother of the groom. Groom's attendants were Scott Brenden, friend of the groom; Jeff Balder, brother of the bride; and Matthew Gorans, cousin of the groom. Ring bearer was Kellen Kinzer, cousin of the bride.
Ushers were Brian Laramy and Robert McIntire, friends of the groom.

Following a wedding trip to Banff, Canada, the couple is living in Ellicott City, Md. The groom is employed by G&K Services in Laurel, Md., and the bride is employed by T. Rowe Price in Owing Mills, Md.
