WILLMAR -- Raging winds and a bit of snowfall hit west central Minnesota Monday evening. Winds gusting up to 46 mph carrying dirt, fallen leaves, snowflakes and cornstalks were all visible in the region.
The National Weather Service predicted a 30 percent of snowfall before this morning, but there was no accumulation as of press time Monday. Similar chances of snowfall for this evening and Wednesday were also predicted by the service Monday night.
Wind chill values between -3 and 7 degrees, resulting from the Northwest gusting winds, were expected for Monday night and early this morning.
Today is expected to be partly sunny with a high around 27 degrees and the winds calming down to 10 mph during the day.
