The July 4th holiday is a busy time at Sibley State Park north of Willmar. Except this year. On Saturday evening, all was quiet with only several families of geese milling about behind the gated approaches to the lakeside campground, shown here, and the Lake Andrew swimming beach.
The Minnesota state government shutdown started Friday included state parks.
