How long will the city, hospital board members and taxpayers put up with more losses? I think we are being told one thing when actually other things are happening.
Last year, we were told it was over-budget remodeling expenses, when a large part was an accounting/billing error.Then of course salaries were frozen, but the CEO got a large raise. Very poor for employee morale!
This year, we will not be told the real reason for losses, I'm sure. In any business, the CEO is held accountable for both good years and bad (not here). Why are we losing large numbers of nurses? Why is morale so low? I think (which we all know won't happen) we should appoint an outside volunteer committee to find out what is really going on. If we don't, things will not change!
