WILLMAR -- William Bruce "Bill" Mair, 85, of Willmar died Monday at Bethesda Heritage Center.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Crow River Lutheran Church in Belgrade. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Belgrade VFW Post 1825.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
He was born May 17, 1921, in Almont, Mich., to Walter and Eva (McInally) Mair. He grew up and received his education in Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945 and was stationed in Europe during World War II. He received the Purple Heart. He was discharged and lived in Arizona and California. He moved to Minnesota in 1979.

He married Agnes Stulen on July 2, 1981. They lived in Willmar. He worked as a car salesman in Willmar and Benson. He worked at Mills Auto Center and later Uken Auto Sales. He retired in 2001.
He was a member of Crow River Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife; children: John (and Sophia) Mair of Tucson, Ariz., Julie Enrity of Charleson, S.C., two stepchildren: Ron (and Darlene) Thorson of Norman, Okla., Marcia Nordwall of Trout Lake, Wash.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother: Jim (and Sharon) Mair of Howell, Mich.
He was preceded in death by one stepson: Larry Thorson; and three brothers.
