June 26, 1948 - Oct. 8, 2006 STARBUCK -- William John "Bill" Dahlseng, 58, of Minneapolis, formerly of Starbuck, died Sunday at Hennepin County Hospital in Minneapolis. The service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck.

STARBUCK -- William John "Bill" Dahlseng, 58, of Minneapolis, formerly of Starbuck, died Sunday at Hennepin County Hospital in Minneapolis.

The service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are with Starbuck Funeral Home in Starbuck.

He was born June 26, 1948, in Starbuck to Clairmont and Mildred (DeGrote) Dahlseng. He grew up in Starbuck and graduated from Starbuck High School in 1966. He continued his education at the University of Minnesota in Morris. He worked as a chef at the Minnewaska House for many years. He later became owner of the Minnewaska House. He moved to Minneapolis in 1998 and worked as a chef at the Parrish Supper Club.

He received an award for "The Pork Restaurant of the Year" for his "Erickson Chop" at the Minnewaska House in 1991.

He is survived by his siblings: Debbie (and Paul) Finstad of Fargo, N.D., Bob (and Deb) Dahlseng of Moorhead, Don (and Karen) Dahlseng of Fargo, N.D.; four nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
