WILLMAR - Coach Carl Shuldes will take 24 swimmers and divers to the Section 2A meet today in Morris.
"That's the most in my three years," said Shuldes, who is also the boys swimming coach.
"We brought up eight seventh- and eighth-graders this season and all qualified for section," he said.
Willmar returns three state qualifiers from 2004: seniors Dana Guetter and Anita Nelson and eighth-grader Alissa Tinklenberg.
Willmar's best shots at individual advancement will be Guetter in the 50- and 100-freestyle sprints and Tinklenberg in the 200 and 500 freestyles.

Guetter and Tinklenberg have their names attached to seven of the 11 school records. Either could meet the qualifying standard in just about any event.
"We selected the events by looking at the statewide picture and where the best chance is for a high finish," said Shuldes.
Last year Tinklenberg was third in the 200 free as a seventh grader. Guetter, swimming in her fourth state meet but first time in individual events, took fourth in the 50.
Two relays - the medley and 200 free - have posted state qualifying times, but such an effort must be accomplished on Saturday to qualify. Nelson is vying for her fourth state meet, all on relays.
