WILLMAR — Willmar City Hall will continue to be closed to the public through May 4 in accordance with the “Stay at Home” order from Gov. Tim Walz.
The city intends to continue its current arrangements through May 4, too, Mayor Marv Calvin said Friday in a news release.
While City Hall is closed, most city departments are operating. Some are working from remote sites.
All City Hall departments are having their office phones forwarded to their remote locations. Email and telephone numbers are posted on the city’s social media pages and the city website, https://www.willmarmn.gov/

Meetings of City Council committees in the coming weeks and the April 20 City Council meeting will be conducted on the GoToMeeting online meeting site with participants in remote locations.
In his statement, Calvin said the city is working on a system to allow for public comments during the meetings.
Calvin also praised residents for their patience as the city works to maintain services while maintaining social distancing and other requirements of Walz’s Stay-At-Home order.
