The Willmar Cardinals are the host team and defending champion in both boys and girls at today's Optimist Relays at the Hodapp Field track.
Last year, the Willmar boys triumphed by 110 points over runner-up New London Spicer. The girls won by nearly a 40-point margin over Marshall.
All those teams are back, plus Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City, Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, Renville County West and Rocori.
Two schools originally scheduled, Montevideo and Paynesville, have pulled out. The starting time is 4 p.m.
