WILLMAR - The Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce will recognize three individuals for their community service during the chamber's annual meeting and volunteer appreciation luncheon at noon Friday at the Willmar Conference Center.
Three awards will be given out during the event - the 2016 Emerging Young Leader Award, 2016 MILO Award and the 2016 Exemplary Leadership Award.
Aaron Madsen of Nova-Tech Engineering has been chosen to receive the Emerging Young Leader Award. The award is given to a person under the age of 40 who has demonstrated leadership that benefits the community and citizens including working with children, adults and families to improve the region's quality of life.,
Dave Baker of Baker Hospitalities has been chosen to receive the MILO Award, named for Milo Halberg, a former Chamber director and member. The MILO Award recognizes local business leaders who show leadership in volunteerism, community leadership, involvement and dedication to the chamber. The recipient must be over 40 years old and also must have been active in organizations and programs in addition to the Chamber of Commerce.
Willmar Area Community Foundation Executive Director Sara Carlson has been named this year's Exemplary Leadership Award recipient. The award is designated for a man or woman who has achieved recognition in their field and made significant contributions to their professions, business or organization.

During the annual event Friday, 67 chamber members will be recognized for their membership milestones.
