WILLMAR – A Willmar man was injured in a three vehicle accident Sunday afternoon near St. Cloud.
According to the State Patrol, Yahya Shire Abdi, 28, was driving 2009 Chevrolet Malibu on an I-94 exit ramp at around 1:30 p.m. when he failed to yield as the vehicle pulled into the eastbound lanes of Highway 23.
The Malibu was struck by a 2014 Subaru Sedan driven by Melinda Allison Metz, 47, of Richmond and that vehicle was then struck by a 2011 Nissan Altima driven by William Joseph Thelen, 45, of Cold Spring.
Abdi and Metz were taken to the St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.
Thelen and a passenger, Paula Kay Thelen, 45, of Cold Spring, were not injured.

Road conditions were dry at the time of the accident.
