SAINT JOSEPH — A Willmar man rear-ended a vehicle around 1:14 p.m. Friday near St. Joseph, causing a three-vehicle crash, according to a Stearns County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Evan Jolly, 21, of Willmar, was driving a 2019 Honda Accord northbound on County Road 2 and rear-ended Joanne Thielen, 52, of Cold Spring, who had stopped her 2013 Ford Edge in front of Jolly for another vehicle.
When Jolly crashed into Thielen, Thielen’s vehicle then rear-ended Loren Notsch, 75, of St. Joseph, who was driving his 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee when he stopped in the northbound lane of County Road 2 to make a left-hand turn.
Mayo Ambulance transported Thielen and Jolly to the St. Cloud Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
St. Joseph Police Department and St. Joseph Fire and Rescue assisted in the incident.
