WILLMAR -- The Willmar Municipal Utilities Commission will meet at noon Thursday in special session to select a firm to conduct an organizational/management assessment.
The meeting will be held in the Willmar Municipal Utilities Auditorium.
The commission received but took no action on Dec. 27 on three consultants' proposals to assess the utility's organizational structure, identify the organization's strengths and weaknesses, and identify present and future opportunities and challenges.
The proposals from the three consultants were as follows: Springsted Inc., $7,750; McCarthy Consulting, $10,000 to $15,000; and Schulte Associates, $35,000.
The commission also plans to elect officers for the year.
