Willmar voters Ansil and Judy Wangsness finished voting at Willmar's Ward 2-Precinct 2 located at the Vinje Lutheran Church in Willmar. Then they walked out the door of one side of the church to eat at the 93rd Annual Lutefisk and Meatball Supper held in the same building on Election Day.
Randy Klein, of Willmar, with the Vinje Brotherhood, stated they will cook about 700 pounds, about a pound person of lutefisk for the supper. Meat balls were the alternative choice for non-lutefisk eaters.
Lutefisk is a Scandinavian white fish that is soaked in water that has been prepared with a lye in a sequence of particular treatments before it reaches the dinner plate.
