MILROY -- The Willmar Rails knocked of the Milroy Yankees 7-2 on Sunday evening in the Cornbelt South finale behind the six-hit pitching of Cody Scott and the hitting of Tyler Horning.
Horning went 3-for-4, including a two-run single that broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the seventh. He added a two-run double in the Rails' four-run eighth inning.
Josh Dahlke and Travis Michelson each added two hits for Willmar (10-6, 10-6), which made do with nine players.
Scott, making his second start of the summer, walked two and fanned three. One Yankee run off him was unearned.
It was only the second loss in 16 games for the Cornbelt South regular-season champions.

The Rails, seeded No. 3, will host No. 6 Bird Island at 7:30 Wednesday with the winner advancing to play at Raymond on Friday.
Milroy will host the Granite Falls/Sacred Heart winner.
Austin Deutz took the loss for Milroy, which got six singles from six different players.
