ST. CLOUD -- Tyler Horning's two-out single in the top of the seventh drove in the tying and eventual winning runs as Willmar topped St. Cloud Apollo 4-3 in Central Lakes Conference baseball Thursday at Dick Putz Field.

Apollo starter Jon Daluge needed just one more out to finish with a two-hitter, but No. 9-hitter Kyle Birkland reached on an infield hit. After a walk to George Jacobson, Apollo brought in Zach Braatz and he walked Kyle Townswick to load the bases.

Horning then hit a solid singled to center to plate both runners.

Alex Lotthammer retired the Eagles in order in the bottom of the seventh. He had relieved starter Ross Van Hauen in the sixth and threw two wild pitches that allowed the Eagles to score two runs and take the lead, 3-2.

Willmar scored one in the first on Matt Roisum's sacrifice fly, plating Townswick who had doubled. Josh Dahlke scored on a wild pitch in the fifth for a 2-1 Cardinal lead.
