BRAINERD -- Brady Gilb at 135 pounds started a seven-match win streak as Willmar rallied to edge Brainerd 32-31 in a Central Lakes Conference wrestling match Tuesday.
It was Willmar's third straight CLC win -- all on the road.
Willmar was down 19-3 when Gilb lit the fuse. Drew Larson got a 7-2 win over Nick Rubin, who had beat him last year by a technical fall.
Jesse Alonzo added a decision and Josh Dahlke a pin to close the Warriors' lead down to one point, 19-18. Brandon Reickman's pin of senior Mitch Jaeger, turning him over at 3:57 for six points, put Willmar in front 24-19. Martin Munoz at 171 got a late takedown for a 19-10 major, worth four points and a 28-19 lead.
"That takedown was big," said coach Tom Beyer. "It was the winning point."

Trent Molacek added a major at 189 which allowed Willmar to withstand Brainerd's 12-point rush at the end. At heavyweight, Adam Kremer wrestled his first varsity match losing to the No. 3 ranked Ryan McKay. Kremer, a football player, just got down to the 275-pound maximum.
