LITTLE FALLS - The Willmar girls tennis team dropped only one game in four singles matches en route to a 7-0 rout of Little Falls in Central Lakes Conference action Thursday.

LITTLE FALLS - The Willmar girls tennis team dropped only one game in four singles matches en route to a 7-0 rout of Little Falls in Central Lakes Conference action Thursday.

"We placed the ball really well, despite the wind," said Willmar coach Erika Kath of the conditions at Little Falls.

Willmar improved to 5-2 in the conference and 6-6 overall.

The Cardinals' closest match came at 3-doubles, where Haley Thompson and Emily Kack beat Little Falls' Steph Drellck and Emily Kampa 6-3, 7-6 (7-2).

New London-Spicer's depth proved to be too much for Benson as the Wildcats won 5-2 in non-conference girls tennis action Thursday.

The Braves won the 1-singles and 1-doubles matches, but NLS filled the rest of the scorecard with wins. The Wildcats' three singles wins were in straight sets.
