Willmar School Board special election is Tuesday, April 13

Willmar School District residents will choose a new board member in a special election Tuesday. One candidate is running to fill an unexpired vacant term on the board.

WILLMAR — Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the special election for a seat on the Willmar School Board .

The school district is using one polling place at the Willmar Education and Arts Center, 611 Fifth St. S.W.

Randy Frederickson , a retired middle school science teacher, is the only candidate who filed to run in the election.

The election is needed to fill the unexpired term of former board member Michael O’Brien. O’Brien was elected to the Willmar City Council in the 2020 election.
