Willmar School Board to meet via video Monday

WILLMAR — The Willmar School Board will meet remotely at 4:30 p.m. Monday via Zoom video conference.

The meeting will be recorded, and the public may view the meeting the following day on the district website, willmar.k12.mn.us , under the School Board.

The board is expected to approve a room rental agreement with Kandiyohi County. Parts of the Willmar Education and Arts Center may be used to provide social distancing during jury trials this fall.

The board will also consider the purchase of 2,300 iPads and cases for them at a cost of $756,585.

The board will also consider resolutions related to the fall election. Candidate filing for the state’s school boards and cities without primaries opens July 28 and will close Aug. 11.

The general election will be Nov. 3. Four seats on the School Board will be decided in the election.
