EDEN PRAIRIE -- Drew Larson, Brandon Rieckman and Trent Molacek all won invididuals titles Saturday at the Eden Prairie Invite, helping Willmar place second among eight teams.
Larson won the 145-pound title, Rieckman the 160-pound crown and Molacek prevailed at 171. Adam Kremer was second at 285, while Erik Borgos at 119, Nick Braun at 125, Nick Dahlke at 135, and Marshal Swoyer at 189 all placed third.
Eden Prairie won the title with 217.5 points, while Willmar amassed 176.5.
"We wrestled very well," said Willmar coach Tom Beyer. "I didn't really know what to expect since we had a hectic week, having 10 matches in nine days. We're still missing Brant (Haglund) at 140, but I was very pleased how we did."
Willmar started its grueling 10-day stretch Jan. 11 at a triangular in St. Cloud. Willmar then hosted a quadrangular two days later and that was followed by another triangular three days after that and then the Eden Prairie Invite. The Cardinals don't wrestle again until Friday at a triangular in Annandale.

"We could use a little rest now and try to get everyone healthy," said Beyer.
