PAYNESVILLE - A 17-year-old Willmar teenager was pinned under an ATV Saturday after the vehicle rolled on top of his legs in Paynesville Township.
According to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, Tyler Waldemarsen was operating a Kubota ATV owned by Michael Stamer Farms and was in the process of dumping rocks into a rock pit. The ground gave way and the ATV fell into the rock pit. Waldemarsen attempted to jump out of the ATV but fell into the pit and the ATV landed on top of him, pinning his legs.
The Sheriff’s Office and Paynesville police, fire and ambulance crews responded to free the teen around 1:45 p.m. Saturday. He was taken to Paynesville Hospital, treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital.
Waldemarsen is the son of Brent and Sonia Waldemarsen of Willmar.
