WILLMAR -- A 49-year-old man was stabbed multiple times Friday afternoon in a domestic assault.
According to the Willmar Police Chief Jim Kulset, the victim, Michael Goodwin, called police from another residence saying he'd been stabbed. The stabbing occurred at the 1800 block of Sixth Street Southwest.
The call came in at 1:18 p.m.
Police arrested Bridget Renee Goodwin, 50, of Willmar at the scene. She is being held at the Kandiyohi County Jail on pending charges of attempted murder, second-degree assault, third-degree assault and domestic assault.
Kulset said Bridget Goodwin used a knife and stabbed Michael Goodwin multiple times. Michael Goodwin was coherent enough to speak to officers, Kulset said, and was taken to Rice Memorial Hospital to be treated for his wounds, where he was treated and relesed.

Kulset said the incident arose from a domestic disturbance, but said the motive for the stabbing is still under investigation.
