Willmar woman turns 100

Friends, family and nursing home staff gather Monday to celebrate the 100th birthday of Emma Kassa at Bethesda Pleasant View in Willmar. A native of Goodridge, which is 19 miles east of Thief River Falls, Kassa was born the same year her home town was incorporated, Kassa’s daughter, Ruthanne Neeser said. Bethesda employees sang happy birthday and activities director Kris Wilner gave Kassa wine and truffles.
