Steve Kotzenmacher sprays an F-14 Tomcat Monday at Willmar Municipal Airport. Monday’s scrubbing was the first the Navy fighter had received since its arrival in 2007, according to Navy veteran Pat Curry who watched as the plane was sprayed and scrubbed. Curry led the effort to have Willmar obtain an aircraft of the type made famous in the movie “Top Gun” when the fighters were offered for such use by the Navy.

The plane is  on permanent display at Willmar Municipal Airport.
