Wilma Naber May 7, 1914 - July 10, 2008

WILLMAR -- Wilma Naber, 94, of Willmar died Thursday at the Bethesda Pleasantview Nursing Home in Willmar. The service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Community Center in Atwater. Burial will be at the Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery in Willmar.

The service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Community Center in Atwater. Burial will be at the Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery in Willmar.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour prior to the service at the Atwater Community Center.

She was born May 7, 1914, in Kamrar, Iowa, to Gerit and Jennie (Huisman) Naber. In 1916, they moved to the Lake Lillian area where she was raised on a farm. She attended and graduated from District 79 rural school.

She was a caregiver. In 1939, she helped a family of 10 children in Gaylord for 16 months when the mother had died. In 1943, she went into the ministry for six years. Due to ill health she moved to Willmar. From 1954 to 1978, she worked at the Bethesda Heritage Center as a nurse's aid. She retired and then cared for her parents for 12 years. She lived with her sister, Ruby, in Willmar. In 2005, she entered the Bethesda Homes.

She is survived by two sisters: Violet Naber and Ruby Naber, both of Willmar.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
