WILLMAR -- Sara Lynn McCann, 25, of New London, made her first appearance Monday in Kandiyohi County District Court for allegedly possessing methamphetamine and for storing drug paraphernalia in the presence of a child.
Unconditional bail was set at $100,000 and conditional bail at $30,000. McCann is charged with two first-degree drug charges -- for selling and possessing meth -- plus the felony charge for storing paraphernalia.
According to the complaint, agents from the CEE-VI Drug Task Force were informed by a confidential informant that McCann had sold drugs from her home within the past 72 hours. The informant also said that McCann had more meth in her home and that her young child was present in the room when the drug sale happened.
Around 2:20 p.m. Friday, agents served a search warrant on McCann's home and found 34 grams of meth in a pouch hidden in a tissue box. Also found in the home were scales, lighters, glass pipes, torches and liquid from a meth pipe. Agents also found two meth pipes in the closet of her 1-year-old child's bedroom.
Agents also personally served a search warrant on McCann in her vehicle. She was arrested for driving after suspension. A total of $2,300 in cash was found on her person.
