WILLMAR -- A 30-year-old Willmar woman faces two felony charges of assault for allegedly biting off a portion of another woman's finger during an early morning fight at a local establishment.
Rosa Isabel Aquino-Ruiz is charged with first- and third-degree assault in Kandiyohi County District Court.
Unconditional bail was set at $65,000.
Conditional release was allowed for $50,000. Conditions include no contact with the woman who lost a portion of her finger and no possession of firearms. Her next appearance is Sept. 8.
According to the complaint, two Willmar police officers were near the Double D Club, along Lakeland Drive, around 12:45 a.m. Sunday when they observed a commotion in the entryway of club.

The officers entered to hear a woman tell them "she bit my finger off." The woman's right ring finger was covered in blood. A witness handed the officer the severed end of her finger, which was wrapped in a napkin.
The woman was taken to Rice Memorial Hospital, where medical staff determined that the tip of the finger could not be reattached.
The woman told officers she was at the club with a friend, who was concerned that Aquino-Ruiz was making moves on her husband on the dance floor. An argument ensued and the woman said Aquino-Ruiz grabbed her hand, put the finger in her mouth and bit down.
Another woman at the club said Aquino-Ruiz was jumped by five girls as she exited the restroom and that she was punched and grabbed in the face before she bit the woman's finger.
