OLIVIA - An Olivia woman was injured last night when her car collided with slow-moving train.

According to the Olivia Police, Dawn Gartner, 47, was traveling north on Seventh Street North when her vehicle collided with a westbound Twin Cities and Western Railroad train at 6:29 p.m.

The train was not moving quickly, according to the police, and Gartner's vehicle was pushed a short distance down the track.

Gartner, who was alone in the vehicle, was taken by ambulance to the Renville County Hospital in Olivia where she was treated for minor injuries.

The railroad crossing is off state Highway 212 near a residential area. The crossing has stop signs but there are no arms or flashing lights.

The accident is under investigation by the Olivia Police Department.
