Women, children hurt in rural Wood Lake, Minn., crash

GRANITE FALLS -- Two women and six children were taken to Marshall Avera Hospital by ambulance for treatment of minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash around 9 a.m. Sunday south of Wood Lake.

GRANITE FALLS -- Two women and six children were taken to Marshall Avera Hospital by ambulance for treatment of minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash around 9 a.m. Sunday south of Wood Lake.

According to the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's Office, the crash was reported at 550th Street and 120th Avenue, about six miles south of Wood Lake.

Jennifer Hinz, 32, of rural Wood Lake, was driving a mini-van and was exiting her driveway when her vehicle collided with a passenger car driven by Kara Radke, 39, of Monticello. There were five children in the Hinz van and one child in the Radke vehicle. All were transported by Cottonwood Ambulance, treated and released.

The Wood Lake Fire and First Responders and the Upper Sioux Police Department also responded to the crash.
