BRAINERD -- Ridgewater got just enough offense again as the Lady Warriors edged Central Lakes 59-55 Saturday in the finale of the Central Lakes Invitational.
The Lady Warriors (6-5) owned a slim 24-22 lead at halftime and were led by Melissa Sterkel's 15 points.
Hilary Groothuis followed with 12 points as Ridgewater didn't make a three-pointer were credited with making only 13 of 26 free-throw attempts.
"It's a nice win to go in before the break," said Ridgewater coach Carrie Ogdahl. "Hopefully they will come back refocused."
The Lady Warriors resume action Jan. 3 when they open MCCC Southern Division play in Rochester.
