BRAINERD -- A different plan of attack in the second half helped Ridgewater rally and post a 55-51 win over Central Lakes Friday.

The Raiders took a 31-24 lead into halftime after hitting some long-range jumpers. But the Lady Warriors (4-4) switched to a 2-3 zone in the second half and outscored Brainerd 31-20 in the final 20 minutes of play.

"We tried to force (the ball) into Hilary (Groothuis) in the first half," said Ridgewater coach Carrie Ogdahl. "We just didn't take care of ball, but then we switched to 2-3 zone and they couldn't shoot from outside. We showed a lot more poise in the second half."

Karen Christopher led a balanced attack for Ridgewater with 13 points while Groothius and Melissa Sterkel netted 10 more apiece.

Ridgewater has the weekend off before hosting North Dakota State College of Science on Monday at 6 p.m. NDSCS beat the Lady Warriors 75-50 on Nov. 29 in Wahpeton, N.D.
