Award applications are available for the 2007 Minnesota Work-Life Champions Awards, Minnesota's statewide awards program spotlighting the efforts of employers to implement programs and practices that create flexible and supportive workplaces.
Award applications are available at www.worklifechampions.org . Applications are due Oct. 20.
There are five categories based on the number of employees. Applications will be evaluated on organizational culture and leadership; work practices and flexibility; health, wellness and benefits; leave options; help with personal and family issues; community involvement; and a brief survey of a small number of employees.
The judging panel will consist of delegates from Minnesota businesses of varying sizes and industries. They will identify and honor up to 10 employers in each category as Minnesota Work-Life Champions. One employer in each category will receive the top honor of Outstanding Minnesota Work-Life Champion.
Employers who have demonstrated their commitment and efforts to implement work-life policies and practices but have not yet achieved the champion level will be recognized with Advocate Awards.
