NEW LONDON -- A mill and overlay project on U.S. Highway 71 will begin Monday.
Construction will start at the junction of state Highway 9 and continue north to state Highway 55 in Belgrade, said Jim Christensen, MnDOT construction supervisor.
There also will be an overlay project on Highway 9 from First Avenue in New London to the west junction of Kandiyohi County Road 7 (formerly state Highway 104) in Sunburg.
Flag personnel will direct motorists through the work zones, and motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures.
MnDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and follow posted speeds in the work zone areas.
