GROVE CITY -- Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City moved one step closer to getting a chance at defending its Class A title from last year as the Falcons upended Eden Valley-Watkins 53-13 in the quarterfinals of the Section 5A tournament Tuesday.
ACGC will take on Osakis at 6 p.m. on Friday in Howard Lake in the semifinals. Paynesville and Browerville/Eagle Valley square off in the other semifinal with the final slated to start at 8 p.m. that night.
Hayden Rouser at 103 pounds, Matt Meyer at 135, Nate Meyer at 145, Travis Frederiksen at 160, Micah Larson at 171, Nic Leither at 189 and heavyweight Jake Carlson all notched falls for the Falcons.
