HECTOR -- BOLD/Buffalo Lake-Hector made the first step of returning to the state tournament Friday by upending Morris/Hancock 66-6 in the West Central South Conference and season openers for both squads.
The Warriors, who placed fifth at last year's Class AA State Tournament, got pins from Jacob Revier (103 pounds), Kyle Schulte (112), Patrick LeVasseur (130), Chris Harmon (140), Coy Hatch (145), Tyler Kramer (152), Sammy Steffel (160), Kyle Pietig (171), Brian Hagen (215) and Trevor Haney (275).
Max Koehntop earned the Tigers' lone points with a pin at 189.
