REDWOOD FALLS -- Central Minnesota Christian School junior Briana Wubben shattered the area girls' long jump mark Thursday, soaring 17-feet, 11.5 inches at the Section 3A-11 track and field meet at Redwood Valley High School.
Wubben won four events for the Bluejays in all. She also captured the 100 dash in 13.0, the 200 dash in 26.9 and the high jump at 5-foot-2.
Wubben and Beth Zimmer of Willmar shared the previous long jump mark of 17-9. Zimmer had that jump in 2004 and Wubben tied it last spring.
The Section 3A meet will be held next Thursday in Redwood Falls.
No other information was available from the meet. Results will appear in Saturday's paper.

Wubben also has the area's all-time second-fastest 100 dash time, running a 12.2 two weeks ago. The all-time mark is 12.1 by Willmar's Brianna Fernholz set in 2006.
