YM County adds sixth finalist

GRANITE FALLS -- Yellow Medicine County has added a sixth finalist to its slate of candidates to interview for the county administrator position. David Bovee, Dawson city administrator, has been added, County Auditor Carolyn Sherlin reported Friday.

GRANITE FALLS -- Yellow Medicine County has added a sixth finalist to its slate of candidates to interview for the county administrator position.

David Bovee, Dawson city administrator, has been added, County Auditor Carolyn Sherlin reported Friday. She said Bovee was added by instruction of Jim Brimeyer of the Brimeyer Group of Hopkins, which is assisting in the search for an administrator.

Earlier this week, the county announced five finalists for the post. They are Juanita Lauritsen, director of the Southwest Private Industry Council, Montevideo; David Krueger, Arlington city administrator; Ryan Krosch, a regional planner with the Upper Minnesota Regional Development Commission in Appleton; Winthro Block, formerly of Montevideo and currently the Rushford city administrator; and Loren Stromberg, Lyon County administrator.

Interviews will be conducted Feb. 3 by the County Board.
