WILLMAR — There were three new confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in Kandiyohi County in Thursday's state report, bringing the total confirmed cases among residents of the county to 564.

Renville County reported one new case. The Stearns County confirmed positive total increased by one Thursday although no newly reported cases were listed in the daily update from the state Health Department. County of residence is confirmed during the case interview and figures may lag based on when the interview is completed.

Statewide there were 365 new cases Thursday for a total of 34,123 with 3,486 of them being health care workers.

There were nine additional deaths attributed to COVID-19, for a current total of 1,406.

Most of the deaths, 1,107, have occurred in long-term care or assisted living facilities, and 1,145 of the people who have died were older than 70.

Statewide, there are 336 COVID patients currently in hospitals, 162 of them being treated in ICUs.

The Minnesota Department of Health is also reporting that 29,854 of the state's reported positive cases no longer need to self-isolate.

So far in Minnesota, there have been approximately 542,696 completed tests since Jan. 20.

The information was included in the latest Minnesota Department of Health daily situation update, released at 11 a.m. daily. The data released are current as of 4 p.m. the day before.

Big Stone County: 14

Chippewa County: 69

Kandiyohi County: 564, up 3

Lac qui Parle County: 4

Meeker County: 57

Pope County: 10

Redwood County: 12

Renville County: 19, up 1

Stearns County: 2,141, up 1

Swift County: 20

Yellow Medicine County: 24
