Willmar Police subdue man, take into custody after standoff at residence

Arrests

WILLMAR — A 34-year-old man was arrested Friday evening for driving while impaired after a report of a traffic complaint at U.S. Highway 71 and 60th Avenue Southeast.

WILLMAR — A 25-year-old man was arrested Friday evening after a 911 call reporting a fight in the 400 block of Litchfield Avenue Southeast. According to the police report, the telephone line was left open, and yelling and screaming could be heard in the background.

LAKE LILLIAN — A man was arrested in the 300 block of Second Street West Saturday afternoon after a report of a domestic disturbance. The man was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault and procuring alcohol for minors.

WILLMAR — A 28-year-old man was arrested late Saturday at Sixth Street Southeast and Litchfield Avenue Southeast on suspicion of first-degree drug sale, third-degree drug possession, keeping methamphetamine paraphernalia in the presence of a child, driving after revocation/habitual offender, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of brass knuckles. A juvenile was also arrested on a controlled substance warrant and taken to Prairie Lakes Detention Center.

Vandalism

WILLMAR — Police received several reports of vehicles being egged over the weekend.

A resident in the 1600 block of 15th Avenue Southwest reported Saturday evening that a pickup had been egged.

Residents in the 1200 block block of 17th Street Southwest reported Sunday morning that several vehicles along their street had been egged.
