Arrests made in Meeker County burglary
LITCHFIELD - Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a weekend burglary in rural Dassel.
A burglary in progress was reported to the Meeker County Sheriff's Office at 1:15 p.m. Sunday in the 24000 block of Meeker County Highway 24 near Dassel.
The Sheriff's Office said a witness reportedly confronted two suspects at the residence and was able to get a license plate number on their vehicle when they left.
Deputies followed up on this information and located the vehicle at a residence in the 52000 block of U.S. Highway 12, Grove City. A 32-year-old female suspect from Litchfield was arrested for burglary and controlled substance violation, and a second juvenile suspect was released to family members.
According to the Sheriff's Office, a followup search warrant was executed shortly before 8:30 p.m. Sunday at a residence in the 65000 block of 288th St., rural Litchfield. Numerous items from the Dassel-area burglary, along with other stolen items, were found in the residence, the Sheriff's Office said.
A 39-year-old man from West St. Paul also was arrested for giving false information to a peace officer and two outstanding warrants.
The investigation by the Sheriff's Office is continuing.
