NISSWA, Minn. -- A 79-year-old Merrifield man was killed as a result of a two-vehicle crash Saturday, Sept. 29, near the intersection of Crow Wing County highways 3 and 4 in north-central Minnesota..

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office reported Jeffrey A. Dockman, 54, Nisswa, was driving south and Cindy J. Parker, 56, Pequot Lakes, was driving north, both on Crow Wing County Highway 4 near Merrifield. Dockman was attempting to turn east onto County Highway 3 when he pulled out in front of Parker’s vehicle and the two collided, the sheriff’s office reported.

Jerry Tennen Albert, a passenger in Dockman’s vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s office reported. Parker and Dockman were both transported for non-life threatening injuries to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd, where they were treated and then released.

The fatal crash was reported at 1:04 p.m.
