Joan A. Schultz, 81, of Willmar, died Monday, July 9th at Adagio Manor in Minneapolis. Her funeral service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, July 14th at Peace Lutheran Church in New London. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 pm, Friday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and continue one hour prior to her service at the church. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery in New London.

Joan Alene Schultz was born July 27, 1936, in Springfield, MN, the daughter of Alvin and Alpha (Rongstad) Runck. She was baptized and confirmed at Springfield Methodist Church. She attended elementary school and graduated from Springfield High School with The Class of 1954. On December 26, 1955, Joan was united in marriage to Kenneth Schultz at Springfield Methodist Church. To this union four children were born. They continued to live in Springfield until 1975, when they moved to Redwood Falls, Bloomington, and making their final home in the Willmar area. Joan was a loving mother who had a quick sense of humor. She enjoyed raising her children and spending as much time as she could with them. Joan also enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing cards and traveling. She and Ken traveled to London, Hawaii and the Bahamas. She was active in her church, helping with youth groups, and participating in women's groups, Bible study, and bell choir. Joan was an easy going grandma who looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren.

Joan is survived by her children: Randy (and Shari) Schultz of Marshall, Ricky (and Jill) Schultz of St. Augusta, Robin Roberts of New London, and Jennifer (and Josh) Floring of Minneapolis; eight grandchildren: Jamie, Eric, Julia, Alisson, Nicholas, Paige, Ryan and Nolan; and six great-grandchildren: Isaiah, Josiah, Zachary, Gabriel, Bentley and Sydney. She is also survived by her siblings: Bob (Glenda) Runck of Springfield and Mary (Joe) Jansky of Clearwater.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Ken.
