Michelle E. Malvin
Michelle E. Malvin passed into heaven on Tuesday June 25, 2019 at the St. Cloud Hospital due to an unexpected medical complication. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday June 29th at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar. Interment will be in the church cemetery. There will be a visitation on Friday June 28th 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and one hour prior to the service. Michelle Elizabeth Malvin was born on September 26, 1967 in Willmar, Minnesota, the daughter of Patrick and Patricia (Sletten) Malvin. She grew up in the Danube area, attending Danube School. Michelle lived in several areas until placing roots down in Danube 6 years ago and started her own cleaning business-Maid For A Day. Michelle held several different jobs throughout her working career such as a cook, a road flagger and caring for the elderly & disabled. Michelle loved her family, family gatherings and time with her grandsons. She loved to take them places and teach them things. She taught her 2 oldest grandsons to ride their bikes within hours. She loved her cat Cali; enjoyed garage sales; time at the lake; gardening; and visiting with people. Michelle would always offer a helping hand to anyone in need. She believed in living one day at a time and taking nothing for granted, telling her son, Cody, "look at the sun and not the clouds". She is survived by 3 children: Samantha (Jesse) Peterson of Litchfield; Joshua (Appolonia) Fest of Minneapolis; Cody Leaf of New London. Three grandsons: Hayden, Payton & Kyren Peterson. Six siblings: Tim (Peggy) Malvin, Willmar; Shawn (Lori) Malvin, Danube; Cathy Malvin, Danube; Robin Stegeman, Silver Lake; Mark Malvin, Danube; Sara (Murray) Peterson, Sacred Heart. Also survived by aunts Joyce Malvin & Johanna Malvin, both of Willmar; uncles Doug Sletten of Rapid City, SD & Darryl (Barbara) Sletten of Wyoming, MN; several nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters Barbara Wold & Vicki Malvin; 1 brother in infancy; her grandparents; brother-in-law Randy Grunke.
