Bill Wadsworth

William “Bill” Floyd Wadsworth, 75, of Svea, died Sunday, April 26, at Bethesda Grand in Willmar. A private family service will be at a later date. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. www.hafh.org

William “Bill” Wadsworth was born on December 11, 1944, to Floyd and Marcella (Helmer) Wadsworth in Willmar. He was baptized and confirmed at Hope Presbyterian Church in Spicer. Bill attended school in New London–Spicer. Following high school, Bill worked for Jennie-O as a live hauler, Blocks Turkey as a farm manager, The West Central Tribune as a bundle hauler and at Menards as a stocker. Bill was united in marriage to Janice Oslund on December 9, 2003, in Milbank, South Dakota. He had a number of strokes since October 2015, when he was forced to retire. In 2008, they moved to Svea and Bill moved into Bethesda Grand a year ago. Bill enjoyed spending time outside working on his yard. He also enjoyed spending time on the lake taking the “apple of his eye,” granddaughter, Zaeh, fishing and tubing.

Bill is survived by his caregiver, Janice Oslund of Svea; siblings: Rudy (Vickie) Wadsworth of New London, Jim Wadsworth of Willmar, Doug (Sherrie) Wadsworth of Willmar, Vel (Brad) Fredeen of Spicer, Terry (Wendi) Wadsworth of Sunburg; granddaughter, Zaeh Oslund of Svea; sisters-in-law: Alice Wadsworth of Paynesville, LeAnn Wadsworth of Murdock; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Rodger, Jon, Ken and Ron Wadsworth; and stepson, Troy Oslund.
