Bonnie Foster

Bonnie Foster (76) of Willmar MN passed away Friday, May 1, 2020.

She died at Rice Care Center in Willmar after losing her battle with chronic illness. Bonnie was born May 23, 1943 to Austin and Hazelle (Overson) Haverly. She was raised and schooled in Willmar MN and graduated from Willmar’s School of Cosmetology. Her most important job was raising her children. She also worked at Jennie-O Foods, The Willmar Cookie and Nut Company and retired after many years with Gurley Foods. She loved dancing, playing bingo, cards, shaking dice and spending time with family and friends. She was kind, loving, had an infectious laugh and a genuine love for life. She will be greatly missed.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Swede Haverly. Bonnie is survived by her children: Mark (April) Nelson, Doug Nelson, David Nelson, Chad Nelson, Crystal (Garrett) Walker, and Niel Foster. She is also survived by two siblings, Toots (Jerry) Post and Del (Shirley) Haverly, as well as 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Bonnie was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church and her faith in God was strong. Due to the current situation, COVID-19, there will be no immediate service. A celebration of Bonnie’s life will take place when large gatherings can be held safely. Arrangements and notifications will go out by the family at a later date.
