Bonnie Lucille Wagar

Bonnie Lucille Wagar, 53, of Willmar, died Sunday, July 5th at her home. Her funeral will be 10:00 am, Saturday, July 11th at the Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Clover Leaf Memorial Park.

Bonnie was born April 22, 1967, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, the daughter of Donald and Joyce (Beauchamp) Wagar. As a young child, Bonnie was taken to Children’s Hospital and was diagnosed as idiopathic, as they were unable to determine a cause for her illnesses. As she grew older, she showed signs of Down Syndrome. She attended Willmar Public Schools and she was grateful for all of her teachers, especially Morry Reller. After completing her schooling, she worked at the DAC in Atwater and later Kandiyohi. For the past several years, Bonnie lived in a REM group home.

She enjoyed singing Sunday school songs, and riding her three wheeled-bike. She adored her nieces and nephews and enjoyed giving them her homemade cards as well as to everyone else. Bonnie also liked the craft of stringing beads and she always gave people a smile as she handed them out to others.

Surviving are her parents, Donald and Joyce Wagar of Willmar; siblings: Scott (and Patricia) Wagar of Willmar; Linda (and Bill) Lavery of Parkersburg, IA; and Rebecca (and Mike) Jaenisch of Olivia. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
