He lived his entire life on the family farm near Atwater in Gennessee Township. He attended Atwater Public Schools where he graduated in 1967. He lettered in football, wrestled and was crowned the Snow Ball King. David was a farmer through and through and enjoyed driving through the countryside looking at the fields. Whether he was hunting, fishing or just going for a cruise down the country roads, he loved being in the outdoors. In his younger days, he enjoyed riding motorcycle and racing snowmobiles and cars. As his health allowed, he always looked forward to a yearly fall hunting trip in Colorado, a tradition he shared with his father, son and grandson. He took great pride in making sure his kids stayed active and would travel great distance to make sure his son got to participate in wrestling tournaments across the state. More than anything, the time he could spend with his children, Emmaly and Tanner, and grandchildren, Dawson, Destiny and Davin, will be forever cherished. Surviving are his children, Emmaly Krueger and Tanner Krueger (and special friend, Shawna Fischer) both of Atwater; three grandchildren: Dawson, Destiny and Davin, and three nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry.
